About Cleo
With over 20 years equestrian experience, I completed a degree in Equine Science from the University of Limerick in 2015. My undergraduate dissertation was conducted in equine girthing and the effect of design on locomotion. In 2017, I passed the Irish Pony Cub A test, becoming the Beara Pony Clubs first member to pass the exam. The A test is the equivalent to BHS Stage 4 riding & care exam.
With experience in riding schools, breaking & training yards, show jumping yards and international Olympic riders, I have had the opportunity to work with young horses up to 5* horses.
In 2017, I moved to Kildare, starting out in equestrian retail, over seeing the online orders and developing an ordering system. Later that year, I began working with Mackey Equestrian as a product developer. Looking into changing suppliers, over seeing design changes and visiting the trade shows such as Spoga (Germany) and BETA (UK). Finally working in Weatherbys in the foal registrations department until 2020.
Currently, I am working on a research masters in Equine Science with the University of Limerick.
