Fox Valley Equestrian

Below are some of the charities that rescue horses in Ireland. These people work hard to help and rescue so many horses along with other animals too. Many of these charities are supported by grants from the department of agriculture, food and marine. But as we all know, caring for horses is costly and they are kept afloat with donations. If you like any of my posts, or found them useful please consider donating the cost of a coffee to one of horse charities below.

My Lovely Horse Rescue

MLHR is probably the most well known horse charity. Based in co.Kildare, they look after horses, donkeys, miniature horses, pigs and more. If you would like to donate to them you can do so with the button below.

Irish Horse Welfare Trust

The IHWT was set up in 2001 to help neglected horses in Ireland. They care for an average of 65 horses and ponies at their Equine Centre in Woodenbridge, Co Wicklow. In recent years they have had up to 100 rescue horses in care and the IHWT has become a specialist rehabilitation centre for Thoroughbred type horses.
